  • Now untick the box of "Hide extensions for known file types".
  • Now select any file type. I will select an rtf document file to change it into txt. There would written the type of the file after the name of it. for example I have saved a wordpad file and named it "File". Now there will be written "File.rtf".
  • Now click right click on the file and click rename and change the ".rtf" into ".txt" and save it. Now your formate is changed.
