Increase Internet/Connection Download Speed In Windows XP

Windows XP is being used more than any other operating system or any other windows. Windows XP has a default setting that it stores 20% of your internet connection speed for the need of your windows e.g Your softwares, windows services that use internet. The problem is that windows is always using 20% of your internet speed. It only lets you use 80% of your internet connection speed even if windows is not using your internet connection a little bit. So we have to let windows gives us 100% connection speed.


  • Open your start menu and click Run.
  • Type in gpedit.msc and press enter.
  • Then a window will appear, go to Computer Configuration by double clicking it.
  • Then go to Administrative Templates > Network > Qos Packet Scheduler.
  • Now open Limit Reservable Bandwidth by double clicking it.
  • Select the enabled option and set your bandwidth limit to 0 (zero) from 20 and press okay.
  • Now close the window and you're done.
Note: Don't forget to save the changes and restart your system after doing this.

    Now enjoy your 100% internet connection speed.
